Aranjuez

About 2 weekends ago, I finally went with Neira to Aranjuez (we've been talking about going for forever). It's about 40 min outside of Madrid. We went in a train system called Renfe, and it was really great. It didn't go extremely fast, but it was only 6.50 euros. It was really bad weather, raining all day. The streets were all flooded and a bunch of the attractions (like all the gardens) were closed. And then it was kinda cold too.

But it's a nice town. It was originally built to be a vacation town for the royal family, so there's a (relatively) small palace and tons of monuments and gardens and stuff. We went on a Saturday, so we got to go to the little street market they had. But for some reason, after about 4pm, everything closed. All the little stores, and even most of the restaurants. So we just left after that.
