Yes, I Am Procrastinating!

I really don't feel like doing my big long resumen for a whole tema of etica. It's not hard, just really time consuming and boring. So I'm catching up on blogging instead!

Well, yesterday, as many of you know, I died. And went to makeup heaven! I went with my host mom, ale, host aunt, and host grandma to a building outside of Madrid. You need a little card to get inside (only people and their family who work of a makeup company can get a card) but pretty much it's just like the Ross of brand name cosmetics. There was Mac, Clinique, Estee Lauder, and some random others, but all at majorly discounted prices. As you all can imagine, I was very, very happy, I could have spent the whole day in there.

So today, I looked up all the original prices for everything i bought, and the total came to somewhere around $210. That's a lot right! Well, this is what I got: 2 Clinique little sample sets, and Estee Lauder shimmer, 2 MAC pigments, MAC paintpot, MAC fluidline eyeliner, Clinique anitoxidant moisturizer, and a DKNY red Delicious perfume gift set

All that for a grand total of..... 69 euros! And that's including the 10 euros that was just the tax. I thought it was great. True, my bank account is almost completly empty now, but it was worth it. When am I going to get prices like that again!

I am very excited about it. I thought you guys would be too! lol

Susanne's Visit Part 2.

So from Sunday till Friday she was doing things with her parents, but on Wednesday she came to show them the school and introduce them to a few teachers. So I met with her during lunch and got to meet her parents and brother and sister. They were all really nice.

And then, since we didn't really get a chance to say goodbye, we decided to meet again one time before she left, so we met before she left on the train.
And we got some pretty nice pictures.....

Susanne's Visit

Last Friday Susanne came to Madrid from Cadiz to meet her parents and to see us. She spent the night at my house Friday then Shayna's the next night, then on Sunday, she picked up her parents at the airport.

So she came home with me from school Friday and we ate lunch and went out to Sol. She was pretty tired, so we didn't stay out that late (like until 10:30 or so) but she ate at her favorite vegitarian place and I ate at Burger King (where I got laughed at!, but then got a free sundae) Then we came home and watched part of Twilight on the computer.

The next day we were going to meet Shayna and Kayle in Goya to take all of Susanne's luggage to their house. So we met about 2pm and did that, then went to El Retiro and had a picnic! I had made the sandwhiches (which were delicious) and they brought drinks and some chips. Then we were going to see a movie, but there wasn't one playing at the times we wanted. So we went to the video store and rented a movie. Then went to Sol again and just hung out. Then we went back to their house and ate dinner and started the movie.

I had to be home by 12:45, so I had to leave about midnight or so. And i wasn't sure I could find the way to the metro from their house, so they were really nice and came with me!

In Plaza de España

This is a couple weeks late, but a on the eleventh I went out with Neira for a little bit. We just hung out in on of the plazas (not one of the funner ones). But she had a coupon for Starbucks that only worked after 8. So we had to kill time until then. So we took a couple pictures. And here they are!

Saturday Night Soccer Game

My host dad and some of his friends share season passes to the Real Madrid soccer games and they pass them around. So this weekend, it was his turn to get the three tickets. But, he had his 24 hour shift this Saturday, so he could go. My youngest host sister didn't want to go, the older one had to work, so he offered them to me! We weren't sure who else was going to go, but it ended up being my host cousins, Borja and Nacho.

The game started at 8pm, and we got there at 7:50 or so. Our seats were right over the middle of the field and pretty high up. But that was nice because there was heating coming down from the top, so it wasn't cold at all. Not much to tell, but it was a good time and it was nice to do something. I got back in about 10:30 or so.

Here's a video from the game. I couldn't get the others to load.
